How To Ask The Universe for a Sign

I don't know about you, but for many many years I was completely unaware that we were in a communicative relationship with the Universe.  Embarrassing right? 

Like, who knew that we could even get signs? Did you know that? 

Count me as living under a rock for many many years. But once I learned about it. I learned about it. It spoke to me. 

I felt like asking and receiving signs was the gentle reassurance that I needed in order to truly believe that all of this was real. 

In the beginning of my manifestation journey.....I truly lacked trust in the Universe.

In fact, I didn't even realize that the Universe was helping guide me at all. Honesty here. 

Maybe you do too? That's ok my friend. In fact, I would assume anyone starting their journey would lack some trust in this whole thing. 

I mean it sounds really out there. 

So, perhaps that is why asking for signs spoke to me as much as it did. I was able to actually receive confirmation that YES in fact I am on the right path. That YES the Universe/Source is with me. Guiding me. Helping me. 

I really leaned into that. Like really leaned into it. These signs felt like a life line for me. Especially in the beginning. It allowed me to trust. To believe. To feel. To know. To just allow all of this in. 

And if you are in that place today? Please trust and know that perhaps finding this blog post... might just be the sign that you were asking for.

Here's the bottom line about Signs: 

Signs are always available to us. You are not alone. You are being guided. You are co-creating your life right now, in this moment. And if for any reason you feel lost...unsure...confused...stumped on what to do next? You just need to ask for some advice. And that advice will come to you as a sign. 

The best news here is that you will always get an answer. As long as you are open to seeing it. As long as you trust the answer and never rush the process. 

You will always get an answer. Let's cheers to that! 

So, have you ever received a sign? I get them all the time now because I am open to them, aware of them, and I ask for them frequently. I love it. It's freaking amazing! 

So here are the exact steps you need to take in order to ask the Universe for a Sign: 

Step 1: Decide what question you have that you want an answer for. Be super specific here. I find that Yes and No questions work best. Something similar to "Should I enroll in a nursing program this year?" Something that is very clear with a time frame and can be answered in a yes or no answer. Got your question? 

Step 2: Now is the most fun part! Decide what your sign will be! You get to pick what you see as a Yes answer and as a no answer. As you may be just starting out in this journey I find that asking for one thing as a yes and another thing as a no helps a lot. Because then you aren't obsessing over....did I miss my yes sign? Nope. You'll get a clear yes or no. This helps a lot. I usually ask for nature type signs. Specific animals or flowers speak to me. But remember it can be anything. A song. A phrase. A color car. etc. But remember, pick something with a sort of special meaning to you. For instance, my husband and I had a yellow lab husky mix dog for many years before he passed away. A lot of times, I will ask to see a yellow dog as a yes or no sign because it reminds me of Copper. In fact, I asked for that specific sign before we bought our current house. And we saw so many yellow dogs. It was a screaming billboard for YES! Buy this house! So right now decide. "Please show me a yellow dog if yes a yellow car if no." etc. 

Step 3: Ask the Universe. Always be polite, full of love and kindness. Say something from your own heart here, that speaks from your soul but you can think of it like this. "Dear Universe, please help guide me with your infinite guidance. I trust that you will reveal what is at my highest and best. Please show me a yellow dog if yes I should enroll in nursing school or a yellow car if the answer is no." I do not believe in timelines here. So, I don't normally say, by the end of today. Or within the next hour. Because the Universe doesn't function on our timeline and our construct of time is so limiting in comparison. So, I would just say within the week. Or over the course of the next few days. Etc. Not within the next 15 minutes. And just take a deep breath here and trust that YES no matter what you will see that yellow dog or yellow car. 

Step 4: Show gratitude and say thank you. Always always show gratitude. Be thankful for this gift. Thank the Universe for their help and trust that you'll see that sign. Because no doubt you will. The Universe flourishes on gratitude and being thankful is one of the highest vibrations you can be in. So be in that energy. The Universe LOVES it. 

Now, sit back and relax. Don't obsessively search. Or keep an eye open at all times. Just know that you'll see that sign. You won't miss it. The Universe won't let you miss it. It knows you asked for it. 

Remember the more you obsessively search, the more you are showing the Universe that you don't trust. So, just trust. And when you see that sign. Say thank you again and move forward with whatever action is aligned with what you just asked for.
